How Eye Lid Fibroblast / Plasma Rejuvenation is performed
Your clinical therapist will apply a numbing cream to the treatment area and use a handheld device to generate plasma, heating the dermis which begins to shed after the treatment allowing new fresher skin to form. Carbon dots will form on the area and stay on for up to 7 days (in some instances longer). The Carbon dots must not be scratched and must be allowed to fall away of their own accord. Expect minor swelling to occur which will reduce over 48 – 72 hours.
Before and Aftercare
- Recommend LED Therapy two to three times per week for three weeks after the treatment
- The treated area may be washed with plain water and gently pat dry the area for up to 10 days
- Do not use active ingredients on the treated area for up to 10 days
- Soothing Gel may gently be applied to the carbon dots
- Sleep on a silk pillow to avoid dislodging the carbon dots
- If the treated area does get scratched, apply vaseline
- Apply SPF 50+ to protect the treated area from the sun.
- It Is Important to avoid excessive sun exposure for up to eight weeks after the treatment
- For some, additional topical or oral medications or other treatments may be necessary if pigmentation occurs due to sun exposure.
