Fine lines and wrinkles are caused by the natural breakdown of collagen and elastin in the skin, combined with other factors such as sun damage, smoking and lifestyle. Lines can be dynamic lines which appear when facial muscles move or static lines which are visible without movement. Eventually dynamic lines become static.
